1987.

Once this Intel 80286- based "notebook/laptop" came, Toshiba focused on the office sector. They wanted to present a computer for the desktop, or which you could carry with you, for anyone at any time and anywhere. They even said that it was "a revolution of the desktop", and "a revolution in portability". To make it even more slight, they removed the numerical part of the keyboard. But it was an accessory that could be plugged in when necessary.
