Toshiba T1200

The image is clickable

1987.

When this laptop came, it was the first with not just one thing, but with at least two. In the first place, it was a form of "resume" feature. It could create a virtual RAM disk in which the work could be made and saved for a quick access after restart - if the battery which held it was fresh. This model was first of all with this facility.

Some of the models were equipped with a 1200 baud modem, which was very appreciated. It teaches that T1200 was first of all with that facility too.

It is also said that it was among the first, if not the very first, to make use of back lit supertwist LCD screen. You could choose between this facility, or a standard screen. You could also choose between two disk drives or one disk drive and a hard drive at 20 MB.

Other popular features was the keyboard, that had a very good feeling. The relatively low weight for its time and the relatively low price was two other good qualities.

Is there any errors? e-mail and correct me!
