Oric Atmos 48K

The image is clickable

1984.

A brightly-coloured machine, which was the successor to Oric 1. It had some improvement compared with its predecessor, such as the keyboard. Now it was a "typewriter-keyboard". Another improvement was that Oric 1's many bugs were gone. All but it was still difficult to download the software from the tape recorder. But that problem has been experienced by many other machines as well.

Oric Atmos came in two versions. One with 16 KB of RAM, and one with 48 KB of RAM. The 16 KB version were sold in relatively few copies since it could not be upgraded.

The French were "of tradition" not particulary fond of England and English stuff, but here was an exeption. For some reason Oric Atmos sold very well in France. In Jugoslavia, as it was called at that time, went Oric Atmos under the name Nova 64.

Is there any errors? e-mail and correct me!
