Luxor ABC 802

The image is clickable

1983.

"Little" and "large" ABC 800 came the same year. Little ABC 800 was this ABC 802 and large ABC 800 was ABC 806. The 802 was a rather small, integrated and compact unit built-in in the screen and a keyboard. The screen was only 10". You will almost think of Apple Macintosh compact series, including SE and Classic series, which came a few years later. The difference was that ABC 802 had no built-in disk drive.

The good thing with ABC 800-series different computers, and later ABC 1600, was that it was excellent to connect multiple machines to an ABC-NET. You could either use the heavy ABC 1600 or the small ABC 802 as decision-maker unit.

There were several different disk drives to choose between, or tape drives if you needed, plus expansion units. Also the keyboard was avaiable in different designs, with or without the numeric part. If you wanted to hang the disk drive on the side of the screen, it was possible. See the grooves on the side of the screen on the image.
