Atari MEGA ST2

The image is clickable

1987.

Atari MEGA ST came in 1987. It came in three versions with different RAM size. The three models was named ST1, ST2 and ST4 and indicated the amount of RAM. A novelty of this models was that the keyboard was separated from the central unit as "ordinary" PC's of today. Another novelty was that it had a built-in battery to keep real-time clock and data. Besides, the two major models had a cooling fan. As the extra icing on the cake, there was also a chip called "blitter" to speed up memory and screen display.
