Apple Macintosh SE

The image is clickable

1987.

A small and compact Apple, but not the first one. Lisa was the first compact Apple, but large. Apple Macintosh 128 was the first out of the mac-series. In contrast, SE was first with the opportunity to connect up to 16 different accessories due to the ADB (Apple Desktop Bus).

You could have your macintosh SE with either one or två disk drives, but there where no hard drive attached. If you wanted one you had to assemble it your self at one of the disk drive locations. The hard drive was from 20 MB up to 80 MB.

There is a curiousity about the Macintosh SE. Hold down the debug button and type the following; G4ID89A, Then you get a surprise on the screen - an easter eggs. The reason for that is that the development-team wanted to fill up the space that was left in the 256 KB large chip in which ROM is located. ROM uses only 89 KB.

Is there any errors? e-mail and correct me!
