Apple ][ plus

The image is clickable

1979.

Apple ][ plus was the successor to Apple ][ that came two years earlier. It was notably more memory in RAM and a better start-up procedure than its predecessor. Furthermore, another improvement came, namely floating cursor. Believe it or not, but this improved BASIC - in which the routine was - was written by a small company called Microsoft, which was owned by a certain Bill Gates.
Otherwise, it could handle colors, although only a maximum of 16 colors, and had built-in speakers.
In Europe Apple ][ europlus were sold that suited the European PAL formatet. Later it was replaced by Apple IIe.
